A story all too familiar for a farming community in Pennsylvania. The truck broke. The farmer bought a new truck. The broken truck sat around doing nothing. Rather than letting it rust away, the resourceful farmer put it back to work by cutting off the bed and creating a trailer to help with the endless work around the farm.
Things were different in the mid-1900's. Since then, the farmer has passed, and his trailer was handed down. For two subsequent generations, his family held onto the truck bed trailer, not using it but also not wanting to let it go.
Unfortunately, the years had taken its toll and the tasks around the farm are handled much more efficiently now. So, the red 1955 Chevy - which was made into a trailer - was placed in the corner of a field where it would be all but forgotten - almost.
Through a series of Divine events, that very trailer was linked up with SALT.
It is hardly perfect. There are dents, cracks, chipped paint, and rust. But like each of us, there is beauty despite our imperfections. That farmers creation all those years ago has new life, and a new name aimed to inspire a smile or a curious look.
"Lil Daisy" is available for attendance at your tailgate or to be rented in support of your event.
